Consultancy

Many of our customers are architects' studios or municipalities that want to integrate solar cells into urban furniture, green areas, new constructions or existing buildings. But they also have high aesthetic standards and are keen on the solar cells being visible, so that they can demonstrate their environmental initiatives, like a type of branding.
Tackling such an assignment is incredibly exciting, as we have to determine which type of solar cell technology is most appropriate in exactly that context. What about vandalism? What should the electricity be used for? How do the photovoltaic materials interact with the products or the buildings? What about the user - how can one tell him about the environmental effort? Should solar cells act as ornamentation or should they appear more high-tech?
This is where our skills as both designers and engineers come into the picture, because many issues have to be addressed in order for both the client and the designer-technician to be satisfied :-)
